Excellence Advantage Inspirations
Quarterly Summary

This quarter Excellence Advantage Inspirations featured some remarkable case studies of organizations, leaders and regions who are making a difference.

Sharing their stories to inspire: What if?

What if we thought big and across boundaries? What would be possible?

What if we had the courage and humility to ask those closest to us what change we could make that would most improve our effectiveness as a leader?

What if we look at our organization’s internal capabilities and strengthened our foundation?

The collection of articles this quarter is shared to inspire. I hope that you will find the one to read or re-read that most speaks to you.

Making an Impact
An organization. A leader. A region.

Each improving rapidly. Adapting, growing, embracing change. Leading the way.

Making a Difference

Thinking big, coordinating across organizational boundaries, and creating transformational level change.

This organization’s example may inspire you to ask, “How can I be an orchestrator of significance too?”

Are you still using Pilots?
Consider a Proof of Concept instead.

  • First, define the assumptions you are making in launching a new initiative.
  • Validate those assumptions rapidly.
  • Then deploy widely.

Not Everyone is Coachable. Are you?
If you had to pick just one leadership behavior to start or stop what would it be? What would those around you say?

Do you have the courage, humility, and discipline to make personal changes for your improved effectiveness and impact?

Do You Have What It takes?
These capabilities are often the difference between wild success and average performance.

Likewise, they are key to long-term success and resilience.

Remarkably Focused
I have always been that person who takes notes in meetings and conversations. Not the minutes for everyone, but notes for me. The act of writing keeps me focused on listening, attentively. Hearing the other person fully. And I have  just the right tool to support me remarkably.
