As an experienced executive and champion of transformational improvement, Kathy Letendre shares her expertise, helping leaders achieve unprecedented levels of excellence for themselves and their organizations. An expert in organizational excellence, transformation, leadership, and performance, she has a reputation as a collaborative and passionate agent of change.
Kathy is the President and Founder of Letendre & Associates where she advises organizations and leaders to create their excellence advantage. Clients benefit from her executive experience in healthcare where she generated unprecedented results. Her ability to forge a path to excellence in that highly regulated and risk filled industry positioned her to advise clients in every domain.
Prior to establishing her consulting practice, Kathy served as the Vice President of Planning & Organizational Excellence at a regional healthcare system, where she spearheaded the organization’s transformative ‘journey to excellence,’ resulting in numerous recognitions including the Baldrige-based Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence and Magnet designation. The health system was only the fourth organization in any sector to have received the Governor's award since its inception. As a result of her stellar leadership, she was awarded the Ambassador’s Award from the Vermont Council for Quality.
Kathy served as a Partner in the Institute for Quality Advancement and as Senior Consultant/ Manager in Ernst & Young’s Performance Improvement group. She earned a Masters degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
Kathy is a member of the faculty in the University of Vermont’s Center for Leadership & Innovation where she designs and leads workshops for healthcare managers, physicians, and executives. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
With Kathy’s counsel, her clients set new strategic directions and consistently execute their ambitious plans, achieving results of organizational signficance.
